New taxa

The work of a taxonomist leads to more than just paper pages (or digital bits, just what you prefer). Part of the work are new taxa introduced, which may be seen as hypotheses about new (sub)species or higher taxa. Of course, these hypotheses remain to be tested, but as this is ‘slow science’ it may take years, decades or sometimes centuries to come up with an alternative view.

In my work the following new names have been introduced, arranged into alphabetical order. Type localities and depositories have been added, as well as the current family classification. If the systematic position has changed since the original description, remarks have been added. The etymology explains in case of eponyms.
